I have never seen any Star Trek in my life either, but I’ve heard good things about them, though they still might not be my thing. We on the other hand did a little gardening at her place and it was really fun. We also watched Eurovision and just ate tons of food, haha :D When we barbecued, she did this delicious banana dessert and said she’d make a little “Ty twist” to it by adding maple syrup! We kind of throw a lot of Heartland references into air when we’re together.
I’m feeling a lot better already, thanks. The doctor has no idea what caused me feeling the way I did, but the medicine seems to help and I’m going to visit a nurse tomorrow, so she’ll do a check-up, make sure everything’s okay with me.

Mallory: So much for if you love them, set them free.
Amy: Well, maybe you should just be straight with him. Maybe then he’ll come around.
Mallory: Yeah, yeah… And if he doesn’t, it wasn’t meant to be - a.k.a, story of my life.
Amy: Mallory… These things take time.
Mallory: “These things take time?” That’s it? The pep talk? That’s the best you’ve got? Wow, that sucks…
Amy: Okay, maybe it did. (she hugs her) But I do know one thing: what happened with Jake, that’s not gonna be story of your life.
Mallory: Promise?
Amy: No guarantees… But I bet in a few weeks you’ve forgotten all about him.
(Mallory’s phone rings)
Mallory: Or not…! It’s a text. From Jake. He wants to meet me at Maggie’s. Can you please give me a ride?
Heartland - 5x02 - Something in the Night
This story is set after 5x18. Candles in the Wind. If you have not seen the episode, there are obviously gonna be spoilers, so you have been warned. There has already been three parts before this current story, so if you haven’t read them, I suggest you do (Cold Feet, Warm Heart, Ring True & Happy-Go-Unlucky).

”Hello? Where’s my welcome party?” Mallory hollered when she walked through the screen door. Jack was setting the table in the living room. He had made them lunch, now that everyone would be around to eat it. It would be a perfect opportunity to welcome Mallory back to Hudson.
”Mallory!” Jack laughed joyfully and left the forks aside. He went to give the young girl a hug. ”Look at you! It’s like you’ve grown!”
”Jack, I was only away like a month”, Mallory said and squeezed the older man tightly.
